Virus and Spyware Removal in Bangor, Northern Ireland

Virus

A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer without the permission or knowledge of the user.

These are the 10 symptoms, showing that your PC might had been infected by a virus —

Your PC runs slower than usual
Loading of programs is slower than usual.
Some of your files are missing.
The size of some of the program files are expanding.
Crashes occur very often.
Problem in saving and opening Word documents.
Appearances of strange messages.
Some of the devices suddenly fail to work.
Other PCs on the network experience the same problem with your PC.
Very frequent access to the hard drive, even when you are not running any program

Spyware

Spyware is computer software that is installed surreptitiously on a personal computer to intercept or take partial control over the user's interaction with the computer, without the user's informed consent.

Users frequently notice unwanted behaviour and degradation of system performance. A spyware infestation can create significant unwanted CPU activity, disk usage, and network traffic. Stability issues, such as applications freezing, failure to boot, and system-wide crashes, are also common. Spyware, which interferes with networking software commonly causes difficulty connecting to the Internet.

Solutions

In our experience, we've not found an Anti Spyware/Virus program that detects and removes ALL traces of ALL malware. That's why we take a multi-layered approach to cleaning a system successfully, using several different software packages and techniques to achieve our goal.

Sometimes if a computer is heavily infected and too many critical Windows files are damaged, the only practical way forward is to format the system and reinstall Windows. In these cases we will endeavour to backup any data before taking this drastic step.
